Internet Explorer 9 To Get “Do Not Track” Option

update internet explorer 9
It’s beginning to look like Version 9 of Microsoft’s popular browser, set for release soon, will offer a privacy setting aimed at making it easy for users to keep their browsing habits from being tracked by advertising networks and other third-party Web sites.

The Tracking Protection feature was unveiled five days after the Federal Trade Commission proposed that browsers be equipped with such an option to prevent Web sites and advertisers from compiling data about people’s browsing habits. Microsoft’s Chief Privacy Strategist, Peter Cullen, has recently touted the company’s Privacy By Design initiative, posting on his blog that features such as a “Do Not Track” option offer consumers “more choices to control information about their online activities.”
