Tips to Hide My Recent Documents from the Start Menu

tips and trick, windows
Tips to Hide My Recent Documents from the Start Menu. By default, the My Recent Documents menu displayed on the Start menu. If you want, we can hide it so that others can not see any trace of the document we have just opened. If interested, please follow the tips shared Computer Tips and Tricks below.

On this occasion, Tips and Tricks will use Windows XP, the Registry Editor. But before doing so, I recommend to backup registry in advance to anticipate the things that we do not want.

1. Run regedit (registry editor) by [Start]>> [Run]>> then type "regedit" and then proceed with OK or ENTER to Registry Editor window appears.

2. Then click
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \
Policies \ Explorer

3. The Explorer folder and then make a DWORD Value named "NoRecentDocsMenu"

4. Double click DWORD Value that we just created it so that it appears the window "Edit DWORD Value" then fill in the value data to 1.

5. Click OK and restart the PC.

6. To show again, repeat the steps above and fill out the data value to 0.

7. Finish and good luck!
