When you’re on a call but using your Bluetooth headset, you can still use your BlackBerry to perform other tasks without disconnecting. For instance, to surf the Web while on hold, just press the ALT and Escape keys simultaneously to bring up an apps menu, scroll to the right to highlight the Browser icon, and then press the trackball/pad to launch it. Then just browse away. If selecting an app does seemingly end the call, just press the Send key to resume the conversation. This is also a great way to look up contacts, get directions, and send emails at the behest of your caller. Applications you can access using this menu include Google Maps, Messages, and even the Home Screen to tap into everything else.
