AirPrint is a feature that lets you send documents from your Apple iPhone/iPad running iOS 4.2 or later to an AirPrint-capable printer. If you have an AirPrint-capable printer, then all you need to do is launch an app that supports AirPrint, such as iBooks, Mail, Photos, or Safari; tap the action icon; and then tap the Print button. The first time you use AirPrint with a given printer, you’ll need to select an AirPrint-capable printer from a list,
and then tap Print.

If you run into any trouble, make sure your printer’s firmware is fully up-to-date. (You may need to consult your printer’s documentation for firmware updating instructions.) You  might also not be able to access some of your printer’s more advanced features, such as duplex printingor selecting from an alternate paper tray. AirPrint requires that both your AirPrintcapable printer and your iOS-based device be connected to your Wi-Fi network. AirPrint won’t work with printers connected to a USB port of a Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule.
